British Artist / Designer Nick Davis began his career in Wiltshire after completing training as an Architectural Stone mason. Several commissions for his stone sculptures led to a strong desire to pursue sculpture as a career.

In the early 90's Nick began working in some of London's fine art foundries where he worked as both founder and sculpture technician with many leading Artists including Maggie Hambling, Sir Eduardo Paolozzi and Mark Quinn. Nick established his first bronze foundry in 1996 casting a number of private and public commissions including Artist in Residence for BNP Paribas and was shortlisted for the Arts and Business Awards. This Sculpture 'Balance' was unveiled by HRH Prince Charles as part of the Entente Cordial celebrations.

Today the focus of Nick's work is centred in The Foundry, based in Buckinghamshire producing bronze furniture and sculpture. Nick Davis shows his work in several exhibitions throughout the year. Nick is able to produce to any scale in the foundry and welcomes interest from both the public and private sector.

'Furniture and sculpture for me is a natural fusion of all the skills I've acquired over the years. A chair for example contains elements of architecture, engineering and sculpture. The truth is I see no distinction between them, the process is simply a part of the art object.'
